Library Catalog Task

Vieques Reads/Vieques Leemos is working on a large-scale project to catalog reading materials available to residents of Vieques. Our MLIS Specialist is the central officer for this project, and her expertise in library science is the project’s keystone. She has already identified several repositories where uncatalogued books and similar resources have been stored on Vieques. This long-term project will interface with VR’s goal of providing computerized library resources to visitors who come to the Boys and Girls Club in Vieques — a building that, at one time, housed the island’s main public library.
